Can't find much info on this, but the clutch lever on my '06 has a lot of up and down movement in the perch. Only have about 15,000 miles on it, and it'll vibrate at idle and around 2500 rpm. Anybody ever have the lever wear out over time?? Looks like an easy fix.

My clutch lever is now quite loose with about 60,000 miles on the bike. The pivot bush in the lever is obviously out of round to look at so it should probably get replaced soon.
I remove and grease the pivot point and cable pivot with moly grease every second oil change (5000 miles). When I was getting the services done by the dealer during warranty I noticed that they never bothered to grease the clutch lever area so if you get your services done by the dealer you might want to supplement this with some additional pro-active lubrication. The sidestand pivot is another area that was always overlooked by my dealers servicing.

remove lever.
wrap the jaws of a large-ish pair of pliers with electrical tape (to prevent scratching).
gently squeeze down on the clutch perch to close the opening.
test fit.
repeat until snug.
lube.

Thanks everyone, I usually grease the bushing myself so I don't think that's the problem. Andymnelson has it right when it comes to squeezing the perch down. Gotta be careful, they're not steel perches like an old Triumph. The lever itself might get "wobbly" on wearing from miles of vibration.
I'll give it a "squeeze" tonight.

I actually installed a new clutch lever about 30 minutes ago and had to do this as well. Problem solved, using my suggested method. : )

Mine is loose as well. What is causing the perch to spread out?
