2006 Buell Ulysses

2006 Buell Ulysses with 32,000 miles. It has the factory Hepco and Becker side bags. These bags are wonderful and match the bike lines and style very nicely. They lock to the bike and have locking latches. Bags are in good shape and show some minor wear. I have constructed a custom rear rack that bolts to the factory side bag mounts and add incredible storage capacity. It is held on by 4 bolts and is easy to remove and install. It is currently off the bike.
New Shinko Raven tires front and rear, rear is a little older and has a few more miles than the front.
New battery
New Regulator/Rectifier
LED projector headlights both high and low beam
Buell Race Ecm
Buell Race Muffler
All maintenance kept up to date, oil changes regular and with Royal Purple oil.
This bike overall is in great shape. No body damage, no scratches, cosmetically it is immaculate and is wonderful to look at and ride.
PROBLEM:
Here is the bad and the ONLY reason I am selling it. I love this bike, the power, handling and ability to ride some remote roads is exactly what I am after. However the stator went out on the bike and was replaced by a mechanic in Texas where I was when the Stator went bad. Everything was fine for about 2 months when the stator went out again. So I brought it to my local mechanic and when he pulled the side cover off to replace the stator again he discovered that the nut holding the rotor and primary gears on was loose and as a result the splines on the crankshaft are chewed up some causing the rotor to have some "Play" on the crankshaft. So I had the motor rebuilt by a professional Mechanic with the updated 2008 crankshaft. When I got the bike back the motor ran beautifully, but the transmission would occasionally drop out of 5th gear. I took it to Harley Davidson to have it checked and they wanted to split the cases to inspect the transmission. They also stated that the regulator/rectifier and stater were all bad as well. At this point I simply do not have time to dig into this project, we have moved and no longer have a proper shop. The motor runs great, and I was riding the bike as is even with the transmission dropping out of 5th on occasion, but I have decided that since I don't have a shop, or a place to properly store the bike It needs to go.

I am firm on the $1000 price. If you want to haggle and bargain then consider the price $1500 that way we can "Settle" at $1000 and you can feel better about the purchase. This bike has made me and my Girlfriend very happy. She says that the rear seat is the most comfortable seat of all the bikes we looked at and we looked at a lot. The Triple Tail system makes a great back rest and gives her confidence that she won't fall off the back of the bike when I get a little throttle happy :-)
