Hi all, I've been searching the forum recently, but found nothing. But I'm young on this forum, so forgiveness will be appreciated . Riding my Uly at night on a twisty road close to home, I noticed that there are two black holes on the sides of the light beam. I've modified my wiring so that both lights are up when in high beam. And I've changed my bulbs for Philips Motovisions', but it doesn't add any width to the beam. I find that length of the beam is fine to me. And the Motovision have an orange stream of light that differentiate me from cars in the traffic. But the narrow width of the beam leaves black areas when in a curve. I think that the fact that the fly screen goes low and hides the upper part of th lights might be the reason, but i certainly don't want to touch this as it's part of the original Buell design on XB's. I'm looking for lights that would light the road from one side to the other, from front of the bike to about 60 feet up. Would fog lights be the answer ? |

Yes! Pretty much the only mod I have done to my 2008 was to add an aluminum light bar and two $25 driving lights. The difference is awesome! I chose to hook up a relay to my high beam so that three are lit on high beam. Also, I added a little switch to disable them and return the headlights to normal. I got the aluminum bar at lowes for $14 and the relay from eastern beaver for $6. |
