So I need to get a peg to replace a broken one. But I'm thinking that I'd be better off with getting a set of grippier aftermarket pegs.

Who makes them, how much and if you've got some why'd you get the ones you got?

Thanks!

Touratech. Very wide. They do shorten the distance between the peg and shifter which makes it harder to shift sometimes.

Precision Engineering. They look good, work well and cost less than the others. Everything they make is functional art, IMO. They also have the kind of Customer Service that makes them a pleasure to deal with.
Check them out:

Okay, so far what I like are the American Sportbike pegs (1" rise) HERE, the Precision Engineering pegs (stock or 1" drop) HERE, and Knight Design pegs (stock and 1" drop) HERE

I don't want anything lower than stock, but I'm not sure I want the higher ones either. I know I can adjust the brake and the shifter to work correctly with whichever.
What do you guys think of them?

We put the Precision Engineering pegs on Terri's Ss (Lightning Long), and she absolutely loves them. I plan to eventually put a set on my XT.

I have the Precision Engeneering, and is the ideal footpegs for me and didn't need to re arrange the brake nor gear lever.

I am running stock (modified) pegs but I have used stuff from Precision Engineering in the past and my limited experience has been way good. They seem to be machinists who know their shit. I'm also a big fan of customer service and recommend the company. I would love to be sporting their pegs.
