On my 07 X the gauge bezel down where it says "buell" and the trip reset buttons is melted. Doesn't seem to be getting worse. What causes this? Maybe it was remedied by the PO I don't know but it kind of concerns me. Is there a bulb there that runs to hot? | ||

I have seen a tall windscreen and a hot sunny day do this. Think a magnifying glass and an anthill... | ||

I do have a rather large screen. I'll take a pic of it and post it. Just seems to be a weird spot.  | ||

I see the glamuor shot you posted through your helmet lens. I'm gonna say its that windshield. The sun shining through the curvature of the upper part of your windshield could focus right on your dash if the sun is at the right angle. This was a very common occurrence on Honda PC800's with tall windshields. I bought one with a dash that looked deformed just like yours is. Throw something over it when you park in the sun.... | ||

First time I've heard of it on an Uly, but it is a huge problem for Zero Gravity Double Bubble screens on the Firebolt. |
