Installed Tuono mirrors and Rox risers on the 09 Uly this morning(Thanks Al!) and had a question about the throttle cables.

Disconnected the cables at the grip and then removed the front brake line bracket behind the instrument cluster - as suggested by several threads. At this point I noticed that there was plenty of room between the fork tubes and the cluster.

Took some wiggling to get the brake line out due to the attached grommet. But then routed the cables through there and wedged the brake line back in between the fork tube and the cluster.

First question: All the other threads I've found have everyone routing them between the frame and tube, with subsequent crushing potential. Is there a reason I missed for doing it this way?

Second question: The brake line is wedged in pretty tight, but I'm sure it will vibrate free over time. Anyone have any ideas how to secure it? I was going to just zip-tie the grommet to the fork tube, but thought someone may have a prettier method.

In the meantime, I need to spread some rubber over 5 counties. Umm, I mean test out the positioning of the handlebars and mirrors. Yeah, that's it.

Brijasher,

After taking off the 1/2" wrap around 'bracket' that had screwed into the back of the instrument cluster, the piece that is jamming the line between the fork and cluster, I have left it be just to the right of where yours is. It is plenty secure and hasn't moved a wit in 3500 miles.
