Here is a step-by-step of my PE pegs instalation.

These pegs are actually a 2" drop but seeing as the stop Uly pegs are already 1" dropped they only represent a 1" drop compared to the stock ones.

Here is a pic of how the original peg is mounted onto the bike. All we are doing is changing the peg itself the rest of the hardware stays.

Start be removing the e-clamp on the bottom and hammering out the steel pin with a screw driver. Here is a pic with the pin partialy out.

Once out, you will need to place the spring back into the peg and force it into position to slide the pin back in. However, it is very difficult to get the spring to alaign when doing so and so PE provides a pin to help. In my case, the helping pin was missing and so I had to fation my own out of an old marret connector which I slid into the peg hole and cut of the top in order for it to be flush.

Next I mounted the spring into the peg and slipped my marret connector inside the spring.

Next push the peg into place. I had used a rusty pair of needle nose to wedge the spring in just the right position so as to aligne the spring hole and the peg hole to slide in the pin.

I then used a hammer to bang the pin in through, and clipped the e-clip back on, and voila.

Peg are good, they feel nice and solid when I stand on them. However, I do find that my clutch lever is now too high, but my brake is perfect!

THe trick was the plastic marret connector i cut to fit inside the peg.

Without it it could have a real pain to line everything up.

I thought that installing the pegs was extremely hard to do as well. You make it look easy!

I would be scared of hard contact with pegs & asphalt. My stock pegs rub enough. It would be nice for the extra legroom if you don't ride that aggressive.

The tricky bit was holding the needlenose pliers in place as well as the pin, while trying to take a picture!
