The Uly got some water and mud inside the headlight housing when we went for a swim across a river in Mex. (the parking light plug had fallen out allowing stuff to get in)

Anyway I took the housing apart to clean it but the reflective coating wiped off with the dirt and grime! I promptly ordered a new housing from a badweb sponsor which shipped it to my house. Thanks Simi Buell!

I was also taking this as a good time to update to HID so upon getting the housing I chopped up the wire harness and cut holes in the boots for the install of a new DMM hid kit with relays, only then did I realize that the high and low beam reflectors were on the opposite side of my old one! I'm sure Simi would have taken the return before I chopped it up but I wouldn't ask them to now. That and the fact that I have a trip planned next week!

So the end result is I swapped the High/Low beams to match the reflectors.

Maybe I blind a few cars?? I don't think I'm going to worry about it??

Transfer the untouched boots and old wiring harness back to the new assembly.

Just curious, what part number does your receipt say?

The old harness is not exactly "new" condition as I tapped into the parking light wires for my Zumo. That and the fact that it's been through hell and back!

Hmm that receipt should be here somewhere...
