For those of you who have had a Uly for 2 or more seasons...I'm wondering what your latest farkle has been. From my experience, most farkling happens in the first year when she's "new". Trying to figure out a way to "pretty" her up a bit.

I farkle slowly, that way the bike is continually new to me! Or.....I am really slow at getting to this stuff! I have traction grips that have been waiting for installation for several months now.

For me, anymore, clean oil and a new filter is a farkle, as well as a new tire now and then.

I bought mine in August of '06 off the showroom floor. It came with side and top bags on it.

In '06 I did the race ECM, removed the servo, and K&N filter that year.

Next summer in '07 I did the Zero Gravity windshield and cut my air box cover.

Then '08 rolled around and I did the Drummer exhaust.

'09 saw the installation of Zumo 550 GPS (moved out of my home state).

Finally in 2010 I did the:
Rider Comfort Kit
Painted Bag Inserts
Drummer quiet insert
Aprilia Tuono Mirrors

Next year might be a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady seat

09 Uly XT, whereon farkle follows function.

Dumped the Journey cases for several other otpions until recently settling on Gobi's.
Syncs in place of Stradas. Trails are next.
PE 1" handlebar risers.
Alaska butt pad.
Garmin Quest GPS w/powered cradle and RAM mount - I'm going to be riding a lot this year.
Optronics auxillary lights.
Palmer front isolator mod.
RKA mini tank bag w/map holder (because I'm better at reading maps than GPS'.
Cargo Conti Tri-bag - best tail bag option I've ever seen.
Rider comfort kit.
Galfer rear brake pads.
Erik Buell Racing stickers (so I can look faster than I really am).

Still on the list:
XB9 primary swap - more dirt, less ashpalt.
2010 rear wheel

Bike is plenty fast and loud enough for an old fart like me.

I've done only moderate farkling and it was all done gradually. My last farkle was a 2010 rear wheel.

Newest farkles : homemade tall windshield and finally wired in the auto-switch to operate the driving lights mounted to the lower tree. Oh and glued four magnets to the underside of the airbox cover. Lets me use my favorite tiny tankbag (because like Itileman, i'm better at paper maps than GPS). Other than swapping out the homebrewed gps setup for a zumo, I don't see anything but a homemade, adjustable backrest in the future. The bike's great as it sits. If I find something I really like, I'll do it. If I don't really like it, off it comes.
