I have recently paid off my Uly. The full coverage is no longer necessary as it was only required by the lender.

With H/D's axing of the Buell line and the resale plummet that has happened is it worth continuing to pay for this coverage?

Any insurance guys know if this is going to be a game-changer?

(I plan on keeping mine for a long time either way.)

Ask your insurance company what the replacement value is, should anything happen.

Do NOT mention why you are asking.

DO make sure to get the person's name and extension, and note the date.

DO make sure to ask "how long is this quote good for? A year? 1,000 miles?" and note the answer.

Also, check your state's laws concerning coverage levels...

The key is can you afford to either repair or replace, or simply do without if something happens? What's it worth to you? I paid off the Uly two years ago and kept full coverage on it until last year when I added the 1125CR to the stable. At that point, insurance would have killed me, so I put the 1125CR and Uly on their own liability only policy and kept my wife's BMW and my '09 BMW RT on full coverage (good thing I had full coverage when I had an accident on the RT last year, cost nearly $15K to repair it!). So for me, it was simply a matter of if one bike goes down and it's my fault, then I eat the bike or cost of repairing it... that said, never in my 30 years of riding have I had an at fault accident, more like the crazy crap that happened on the BMW where road conditions caused me and another rider to wipe out at 65 MPH on a straight road! (suspected causes are diesel fuel, too much tar, not enough chip on the wet road).

Good luck on your decision.

Antifreeze is a killer.

Antifreeze??????? Are you on the wrong forum?

I called my agent today and canceled the full coverage. It is a toy that I can live without if something happens to it, so it seems best to self-insure in this regard. I did increase my medical and uninsured motorist and still came out about $70 a year less.
