I have the 2010 wheel upgrade on my 09 X

How can a '10 rear axle work on a non '10?

that don't seem right to me.

The '10 axle works with the axle *tool*.

The '10 axle requires the '10 axle/wheel bearings. The swingarm/tool are unchanged.
