That's what I told my wife on the cell phone after running out of gas. Unfortunately I didn't believe the fuel light and drove in the opposite direction of the gas station. She was madder than a wet hen when I asked her to bring me fuel. Which is understandable since she was trying to sleep before going into work tonight (she's a nurse on the night shift).

Oh, 29.7 miles to empty which included some warm up time.

You did good, mine stopped at 28.4, but I was able to push it the last block to the gas station.

She will get over it when you take her for a nice ride to some place that she wants to go.

I've done 36.4 miles with the gas light on, and it still had enough in it to flicker the light on and off, and it still was less than 4 gallons to fill it. I love the fuel economy of these things. : )

Out here in Montana gas stations can be very far away. I was 10 miles from the house + another 14 to the gas station to fill up the jug. I'm sure to pay for this one.

Not bad though, only 370 miles on the Uly and I have my first sit on the side of the road and contemplate life session while waiting for gas. A nice rancher came by and gave me a gallon and I met the lovely wife on the way with fuel. I'll for sure plan a little better in the future though.

That's where my wife would've been hot. Not that I called for the bailout, but that I managed to get gas before she got there.

I've gotten a tad over 30 miles on the light.........and felt I was pushing it. Took about 4.1 or .2 gallons if I remember correctly. I have been in the mid to high 20s many times on the light and it almost always takes 3.9 to 4.0 gallons. I'm impressed with the consistency of the light/fuel trip meter.

Froggy, you amaze me with your mpg numbers... are you juicin your bike's fuel? : ) I got a measly 23, unfortunately i had done a considerable amount of idling, before having to walk the bike a 1/2 mile uphill in 85 degree heat on a road that barely had a shoulder. I felt like i didnt have any either after that walk. Was refreshing however on the downhill to be coasting, on what little shoulder there was, past a cop and into the gas station.
