Here is a list of preparatory items that I am planning, feel free to make comments and suggestions:

Training:
-BWM off-road riding & saftey cource Mai 8th,
-Need to learn how to change tires on my own,
-Need to find-out & learn how to change belt.

Storage:
-Stow-n-go bag (received),
-Top case interior bag Buell(received),

-Looking at Wolfman Large expedition tank bag,
-Looking to see if I can use and tank panniers on the Uly Wolfman?, aerostitch?
-Considering front fender bag from wolfman for tools,
-Need interior bags for side stock panniers, considering LL beans,
-Considering trying to strap a small bag to the front flyscreen,
-Considering straping a small bag under back tail piece,
-Considering straping a small bag to the outer inside wall of the side panniers,
-Dry duffle for packing tent and slepping bags to strap on cases,
-Need to carry 2 gallons of extra gas.

Saftey:
-Large windshield (Received),
-Touratech front engine guard,
-Touratech lower engine guard (muffle guard),
-Touratech oil gurad,
-Touratech oil radiator guard,
-PIAA lights with grill (on order 510 ATP),
-considering doing an HID mod to the PIAAS,
-Low beams always on mod,
-Need to tweak suspension for added weight (maxed I think),
-Need to devise a tire strategy,
-Need to build adequate tool kit,
-Barkbuster storm S4 (on order)
-Spare plugs
-Several spare fuses and relays.
-Diving knife (got one)
-Tool tubes, (Bought 4 on order)
-Sidestand magnetic (on order)

Other:
-Need to buy tent, Touratech has some light ones,
-Need maps,
-Need camp stove,
-Need to make a packing list,
-Need to plan route (gas stops, sleep stops),
-Need to buy mosquito netting,
-Need mask against dust,
-Tire plug kit and compressor (got one).
-Bow saw and/or hatchet for fire wood and emergency shelter.
-Climbing rope

Matt, here is the one i have and i love it. Its super small light and portable (everything goes inside the pot)

If you are following the SM procedure and remove the bolts to the tensioner pulley, it is no longer a factor in belt tension. That is what I did.

I know some have said that they were able to change the belt w/o removing the pulley (as you can do for rear wheel R&R), but I did not try it this way.
I see the attraction, though, since the idler bolts can be some work to get back in properly.
