You guys are maintaining the best Uly forum on the Web! I have been looking around a lot and I keep returning to this forum.

I bought my brand new XB12XT 2009 Uly last november and I rode it only a few days before I had to store it for the winter (4 months of torture!!). I took it out this april 1st and rode it almost every day ever since. My first service is around the corner already.

I really like the feeling of this v-twin and all the great features Erik Buell made on this bike.

However one thing I need to fix quickly is the windshield. On the highway, the turbulence behind it is terrible. Not sure what to do about it yet but will certainly find lots of options in this forum to fix it.

Thanks to all for sharing your experience and all your great ideas!

Welcome to the forum!

Try one of these to eliminate your turbulence:

http://palmerproducts.co.uk/

or

http://www.madstad.com/

I have the madstad, and it does wonders for the wind noise and buffeting.

I prefer the short screen from the X. No buffeting.

More "Naked".

Looks like Palmer is making very interesting products for the Uly. Do you know if anyone had any problems ordering from UK? About shipping fees?

Also, you can try popping the shield off.
It seems that each person's solution is completely unique!

Matt, not knowing anything about the area, it was fun trying to get to the track. I parked about five miles from the track. took a cab to the center of town, cabbie gave me a metro ticket and rode the train to circuit. It was real fun trying to tell a cabbie where I had my bike parked when I left. (next to some muiltiplex movie theaters) I should have just left the Uly at the hotel and took a cab to town than the metro. It was still a fun time, first time ever seeing F1 cars and 300,000 rabit fans.
