Highly recommend it. I mounted mine right above the gauge cluster, some mount it on the brake reservoir. I wired mine to the 12V outlet wires under the fly screen. All in all it took 10 minutes. | ||

I just install the single LED version on my Uly inside and under the low fuel light and Can-am ATV today. Ft_bstrd has a detailed install here. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/335986.html Court and Froggy install them also.  | ||

I just installed my Signal Dynamics LED voltage tester today! i used the opening that is on the bottom Left of the dummy light section. The LED sits down in this white hole, so I blacked it out all the white with a sharpie. Thanks Ft_bstrd for the writeup. | ||

 IIRC I spliced it into the Auxiliary wiring under the flyscreen. | ||

+1 mounting to the front brake master cylinder and splicing to the Aux outlet. Very quick and easy. | ||

Thanks everyone. I know it was pretty simple. I just wanted to see what other's have done. I like the idea if using the power outlet as the connecting point. Scottykrein - How did you get it to mount securely on the instrument cluster. I'm considering the same place, but the surface doesn't seem flat enough to make a secure fit. | ||

I can't get a picture of it, but it fits just to the right of the TAC, the two sided tape was thick enough to secure it perfectly. You'll see there's a little notch that it will sit in perfectly. The tape has worked for a year of rainstorms and cold temps. | ||

The only problem I had with mine was when I tried to stick it to the reservoir, the cover face jumped off when I released my thumb. Super glue took care of that. Also I took a rat tail file and relieved some of the material to the left to allow the harness a little more room to exit from behind the unit, less pressure against the sticky pad. | ||

The only thing I don't like about mine is the red lights are too bright. When I ride at night it reflects on the wind screen. I mounted mine above the speedometer and drilled a hole to fun the wires through and wired to the power outlet. | ||

I mounted mine above the gauges with an adhesive-backed velcro pad. The wiring comes off of one of the fused circuits of the FuzeBlock I put in awhile back under the flyscreen.  | ||

Got mine mounted just ahead of the handlebar mounts on the upper triple clamp. It's not in my line of sight, but I can see it if I lean forward a couple inches. I found that mounted elsewhere, the LED lights are too bright at night. | ||

I mounted mine on the Buell / Garmin Quest mount, just in front of the master cylinder. Before that I had it on the upper triple tree, but then I added the handlebar bag so I moved it. For the brightness, I took a piece of regular ol' scotch tape, put it over the LED lens and over the light sensor / dimmer lens. Then colored it black ("tinted" it) with a sharpie. One quick, even pass doesn't black it out, just makes it darker. And, with the sensor "in the dark", it goes into night mode earlier in the day. I tapped into the aux outlet as well, but any 12v source that's keyswitched will work. I tapped into the gauge lights on my S2 and that works just fine. | ||

I realize this is about the multi LED volt meters, but with the single light system once the green light comes on it auto dims within 30 seconds. I was out last night and it was not bright enough to bother me. | ||

Out toward the end of the bar the multiple lights aren't so much a problem, but if I were to do it over I'd also go with Ft_bstrd's Signal Dynamics install. |
