I like the steal from CR option, thats the route I am going (ok I stole off an 1125R : ))

Thats not going to work for you unless you get a 06 XB12SS rear shock and lower kick stand.

I think your best bet is to take off your current forks and get them anodized or powder coated.

Yeah, want Type III hardcoat, but will probably settle for powder. Just wondering if any other stuff would drop-in. Or I could just wait for the 2011- D'OH!

Yea the other forks will drop in fine, just the issue is Buell didn't make any tall bikes with black forks.
