I've got an XP.

There is a big wiring harness under the seat that ends up under the flyscreen. Are these wired in anywhere else? The dealer removed the brain and lights before I saw the bike. I have no need for this mess of wires, so I'm wondering if I can just hack them out? If I cut out all that I can see under the seat, will it then pull out from the back of the flyscreen?

Where is the harness going to hang up? It looks like it just goes into the frame then out near front of bike.

I've got the bike apart right now doing the comfort kit and won't be able to finish the job until tomorrow afternoon. I've got more slack than I will when I put it back together so I'd like to do it now if possible.

Pretty impressed with the factory solution to the ass/leg heat problem. Fits like it should and the hardest part for me was figuring out how to get the fuse block out without breaking something

Sorry I can't help...but, are you using the standard comfort Kit or the XP version?

standard one. I think the only difference between the two is there is a cut out in the RSS for the u-shaped bracket for the siren which isn't on my bike anymore. The shroud fit fine over the shock. It's all back together now and I routed the harness slightly different, but I'd still like to get rid of it. Definitely hangs up somewhere in the frame.
