Sanded my front rotor today with 180 grit paper. With the stock pads it is still a little Graby. I am looking for some real good street pads.I will NOT be doing any track day's or street racing! Just riding with my wife. So what would be a good set of street pads for our 08XT

I put Galfers (1371's) on my rear wheel long before the stock pads had even started to wear. Noticeable difference for the good, especially given my preference for using the rear brake more than I should.

Try the Lyndall Gold pads from American Sport Bike. They give a nice progressive feel that works great on the street for most riders.

Lyndall Golds.

Just make sure you really clean the junk from the old pads away from the caliper pistons, the wheel, the fork tubes, etc.

I just took out my well worn EBC pads, and replaced them with a half-worn set of Lyndall golds.
I prefer the EBCs as the Lyndalls have less initial bite.

Just my preference.

I got warpage(pulsing) with the Lyndalls, twice as fast as with the stock pads. Just my experience.
