Doesn't matter for your bike. |

TPS on on 08 automatically adjusts on it's own is simple to perform. What weird things is your bike doing? (Message edited by blake on March 21, 2010) |

IF you do a manual TPS reset, make sure it's at operating temp. The TPS is a potentiometer and will change the value with temperature just a bit. That having been said, if you're experiencing idling issues, remember that the idle on these bikes is controlled by a bypass valve off to the side of the real throttle body. It has been known to get sticky or fail in rare cases. |

Yama, I've done it cold and hot with no trouble either way, but Nate make's sense, so warm would seem to be a good target to aim for. |

Xbeau, Your post was misleading, so I reworded to clarify the issue. Thanks for chiming in. If you really thought that the TPS was self-adjusting, then that was actually mistaken. |

I've always thought the TPS on 08+ bikes did self adjusted. I thought the manual reset was simply for abnormal situations. |

I was having problems with my 08 and after monkeying around with TPS reset and a few other things, cleaned the battery connections, and grounds under the seat, installing star washers on everything..... It is like a new bike now. Easy Things First! |
