Just an FYI - I went to the HD site and got a quote through HD for Safeco @ $100 per year. Min. coverage, Ohio and I'm 55 (but a very youngish 55).

Once again, i ended up with State Farm from a buddy of mine and payed more (I know State Farm pays, and I wanted to give Bob my business), but thought this might be of interest to Y'all.

John

I went to the HD site, searched on Insurance, clicked on the link, told it I live in PA, and my browser alerted me I was really connecting to progressivedirect.com. (which Is the company I already have)

Guess each state might be through a different insurer.

I just did a quote and it was also for Progressive.

They may give a better deal to H-D/Buell customers..... Just a thought.

HD insurance works with a number of companies - Progressive, Safeco, Dairyland...- and will quote each customer the best quote for that rider with that bike in that locale.

Once I get home I will run a quote using my neighbors name and address (so they can't cross reference it to my current policy) and see if they offer a better price. : )

If your neighbor is a better driver...you'll get a better quote. And, better have their license number and DOB handy, they're gonna check the driving record.
