Last weekend was too good to not ride a little bit. The new tall seat I ordered arrived and needed to be tried out. I put about 75 miles on the seat going through Happy Valley and back over the Foothills Parkway here in East Tennessee. One of my daughters went along as well.
My impression of the seat is that it is more comfortable for the long rides but the standard seat is better around town if I'm going to be doing a lot of stops. My daughter thought it was very comfortable. She also liked the padded backrest cover.
For those who live in this area, watch out for Happy Valley Rd. There is still quite a bit of sand on it since the last ice we had. It is still a beautiful ride however.

I've been experimenting with the stock XT seat and the 06' 'tall', Tenn10. So far I can't tell much difference but I haven't ridden over 120 miles at a time yet. However, since I can flat foot the 'tall', and have heard how super it is as a touring seat, that will be my touring seat. I read a review in Motorcycle Consumer News that raved about the 06' and was very critical about the 07' change; night and day, or something to that effect, they claimed. Maybe if I took long trips with each it would be very obvious. I don't know. Your pictures are great. Ths.

I put 50 miles on my new tall seat last weekend also. The biggest thing I notice so far is I no longer keep sliding forward : )

Put 125 miles on last week on a new tall seat that replaced my original 06 tall seat. The new one doesn't have the seams running front to back along the edge under your thighs. I like it much better. Need a 9 hour ride to fully appreciate but so far I don't even think about the seat anymore.

Two weeks commuting with a new tall seat. Up front it's rounder and firmer. Much improved in attack mode......

I visited my cousin in Chilhowie, Va., last summer. I rode from Wilmington, NC near the beach, took about 7 hours.......what a ride. I love the mountains up there!! I came through Sparta and Jefferson National Forest, it was great.

Nice pictures! I so infrequently see Ulys without luggage or the mounting racks. Reminds me when I brought my (faster) black one home before installing the bags. No other bike like it in the world.
