Does anyone know what size this nut is? My race ecm came in and I thought it was going to be an easy fit. I can't figure out how to get a wrench or a socket on the front ecm nut to unbolt it. I have the comfort kit installed and I can't seem to reach it with the wrenches I have. It would help to at least know the nut size so maybe I can rig something to get to it. I'm even contemplating cutting a "window" in the comfort kit to allow using an open end wrench on it then patching it with something when I'm finished. Thanks for any advise.

Thanks Etennuly, that's what ended up working. Mine had a 7/16 nylock. What a b#$%h it was to get off. Race ecm installed. Now time for a test ride!

Ok, got the race ECM installed on my 09 X so here are my observations. Idle was no different. It was high at first start but that was due to to the tps reset, and every start after that was as usual. Up to about 5 grand I couldn't feel much of a difference, maybe a bit "softer" feel; but I also am currently running the stock exhaust and the washable air filter. At 5 grand, maybe a bit above, the bike really snaps I'm sure with a modded exhaust it will be even better. I did notice the fan coming on less, and my previous ecm had the latest fan flash. However, it was cool and windy yesterday and this seems to affect the fan operation.
I didn't notice any surging or valve noise (pinging)that I've experienced with the previous stock ecm, but that was transient so we'll see if it persists. At this point I haven't laid down enough mileage to report on fuel consumption. My best before the change was 49mpg.

Pauley2000, I hit the rev limiter at 7,000 rpms so I believe that's the same as stock. I'll keep you all up to date as I get more miles on the ecm.
