Can the IAT be safely cleaned?
Last week, I apparently added more oil than my bike would have preferred.

Today I'm starting the 25k service and noted that there's a pretty good coating of oil on the IAT.

Don't bother.
My X1 IAT has been bathed in oil mist for 88,000 miles.
It's protective!

I'd use isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab to {carefully} clean it.
