I have the Journey side and top cases on my 06 X but I still need a tailbag/seatbag similar to the MotoFizz units for when I travel for work.

I've done a bunch of searching and reading and have narrowed it down to either the MotoFizz or Wolfman brands.

Anyone here have Uly specific experience with either or both? I've read enough BMW, 'Strom, KLR reviews but wanted to see if anyone has any specific caveats related to use on the Uly.

Give a look at the MotoPak website at
http://www.motopakluggage.com/gttaile.html.
I have used this tail bag for several years with great results. The bag has an opening on the rear of the bag that simply slips over the tail/backrest on the Uly, so there is no need to bungy cord anything down.

7873jake,

I bought one of the Buell upright tail bags right after I got the bike in Oct. Go to Buell Parts and search under Ulysses bags. I also got one of the small bar bags and just tie wrapped it on. Works for door opener and sun glasses.

I have stuffed it for a trial run and it holds a bunch of stuff. Also doubles as a back pack if your the type. Slips over the back rest thingy and clip on. So with that and the Journey bags I am set for my first road trip to Arkansas on the Buell in April.

If you can still find one, get the Buell triple tail bag. It is freaking awesome.

I really like my Oreitlieb bag. It works like a kayak bag with a roll top closure. I then use helen twowheels tiedowns to secure it on the seat/tripletail. It's heavyduty and waterproof

I bought the triple tail bag the other day when I saw that someone had listed a dealer clearing out excess inventory and had them for $50!!!

They still have some (I think?) at: http://www.grharley.com/Buell_Luggage_Backpack_p/9 7020-08y.htm (Thanks Dcc46 for posting that link. The same dealer has the $100 tool kit for $50 also)

I needed the larger volume of the MotoFizz or Wolfman bigger bags as I usually travel for work in 10, 14, and 21 day increments and wanted one bag to just swallow that amt of clothing. I've liked the quality of my Cortech luggage in the past on other bikes but wanted some size for the amt of crap I have to carry sometimes.

Sharkguy, is the Ortleib bag you speak of a mondo duffel sorta like the yellow PVC Wolfman or does it have compartments like the MotoFizz?

Firebolt Tailbag

Firebolt Tailbag for scooting around town. It velcroes around the 3tail for a no-straps stealth inatallation.

Cortech Sport

Cortech Sport for slightly longer trips. These are very well made.

Edit: wups, just re-read OP, since you already have ideas, I'll just say that I also have a Wolfman Beta. It fits nicely and is also of very robust construction. Tons of straps- you could mount it several ways, and then strap even more stuff onto it. Sorry no pics.

Feildsheer roll tailbag works really well on the Uly, used it on the CityX also. It is a very well built bag with enough room for an overnight stay or commuting to work.

The Cortech tail bag is great.

I REALLY also like the Tourmaster Tail bag. It's simple, volumnious, and well designed.

YEPPER! Thats the ticket! I can't figger out how to post a link or pic or I would have back at the first of the thread. I paid the $109 for mine and I think it was well worth it. If ya stuff it full you can use it as a back rest if ya flick on the throttle lock. HAhahaaaaaa. It would work fine for everything for a two day trip and if ya pack like a sport bike rider, a week! AHhahaaaaaaaaa.
