I am having to do too much education to Eastside Harley and Seattle Harley. Who do you know that was deep in Buell and still remains on top of it? Appreciate parts guy name as well as dealer. Thanks so much...

I have had my bike in at Eastside, they seem relatively competent. I hear that the guys in Tacoma are good, but I'm new to the area.

What's your general location? I'd love to find someone here with a Buell who can show me the good roads..(and not so good ones.)

the HD/Buell dealer in Kent was good to work with. (Kevin, I think was Buell tech) Puyallup was good too. Havent had mine in since way last year so don't know who's doing what these days.

Downtown H-D in Renton get my vote.

Kevin Garrison, their Buell/V-Rod specialist is not only very though, but is also a sport bike enhtuast. Jeff in the parts dept owns multiple Buells and races one of his Buells with Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Asscn, where I believe he is also holds the position of race director. http://www.wmrra.com/ I think he just recently bought himself a Uly, too.

Jeff frequents here quite often, so he might chime in here with any corrections to what I've written.....

I would love to help Skifastbadly...as soon as I return from my 2 month, 4 corners riding/fishing trip in May. My warranty was up this month - I'm now on my own in DIY land. Is MT rideable now ?? I would think temps & passes would still be problematic til about May.

Skifastbadly-
Contact Jeff at Dtwn H-D and attend one of their BOAR rides. I know he is looking for any Buell riders to join them on their monthly rides. He's invited me several times, and I intend to get out there and ride with them soon. There will be many there who are very familiar with the area.

John-
Have fun and be safe on your trip. My Sis left this morning on her Katoom 990 for a 7000 mile trip to Daytona FL via CA, AZ, TX, and beyond.

You retired and unemployed riders have all the fun......

Also-

While I have this thread hijacked, Me and Tracy will be attending an adv event in June near Hells Canyon. There is LOTS of great roads (paved and unpaved) in the area. The riding there is epic. And don't forget the two brewerys within 10 miles of where we will be camped.

I would be great to have more than just my Uly and Tracy's Blast to represent us Buell owners.

Hey Jerry - how ya doin Bud' ? Thanks for the correction - Renton, NOT Kent Buell. I can attest that kevin does does good work. Only tech so far that hasnt over torqued the rear wheel. He knows Buells...and seems to actually like 'em. I will check out the Hells canyon possibilities. I will be unemployed again for rest of 2010 on Mar 12th - life IS good! Take care Pal - Hi to sis (she can really ride that KTM!) & Tracy. j

I would agree with Debueller, Downtown HD in Renton is very good. Kevin's done all the work on my bike and it has been stellar, not a loose bolt nor missed check that I've been able to find.

Jphish...MT ok in May...that is when I will be there for a ride from Great Falls to Custer Battlefield and wherever a twisty two-lane takes 2 orange Ulysses. Tearing up Yuma area now. I see many "code" words in the responses here like BOAR rides, Hell's Canyon and Clarkston...what and where are these places? Thanks for Renton tip and Kevin and Jeff.

No problem Liv2. Totally natural. Now to figure out how to carry varmint rifles and ammo for my May MT ride. Hmmmm. My wife would not be up for your lovely BOAR ride and I am not a free man yet...volunteered full time but will lay it down someday. I would like to join you otherwise. Can I wear shorts? :-)

You need to get one of those rifle tubes. They have a sling on them and everything.
Liv2 is right about the ride to Mt. Rushmore the more the better.
Darren, I think Alec is picking up the versys today. He went to Yakima this AM to look at it and i just have a feeling he got it.

I forgot to mention at the BOAR meeting they had some of those Book of Buell available I know some people have been trying to get a hold of those on this site. And Eulysses I have a great varmit rifle it's a .22 Marlin Papoose. The barrel unscrews it has a scope and 20 round clip and came in a cordura case. Must of got it 20 yrs ago don't know if they still produce them.

I am thinking a nice wide rifle case across the back...over the Journeys. The AR's break down...the .22's fold...need a way to carry lots of lead down low...:-)

I will be there at 11:00 on the 13th, and I'm still not sure how I missed the initial thread...

Consider this another BTT...

It was kinda my fault, I semi high jacked the thread earlier and answered one ? and then rambled on about a trip that were planning that isn't affiliated with BOAR but all are welcome to join our trip through WA, ID, MT, WY and SD in July
Sorry for the confusion
Darren
See ya on the 13th
