I have searched and searched. May I get a copy of the link to the Comfort Kit Installation Instructions on the Forum? I am assuming that the ones posted here provide more than the factory instructions. Thanks alot for the help.

Iliad, just a reminder, DO NOT remove the front ECM screw. Just remove the rear screw and slightly loosen the front, just enough to swing the ECM out of the way. Snug up the front screw when you are done.
I installed my comfort kit over the weekend and thanks to several others who posted this same advice, the install went very smoothly.
This is a great website! Trust the advice of those that have experienced whatever situation you may be in. Thanks.

I also recommend going to the hardware store and buying some "star washers". Install these under every electrical ground connection you have to remove during the job.

I removed the front screw from the ECM b/c the instructions said to use the new longer screw. The screw was the same length as the one I took out. And, I see no way get the nut back onto the screw. I guess I'll be Rollin with only one fastener in the ECM.

OK, OK, you actually can remove the front ECM screw and still get it back together. I just found it easier to just loosen it a little. After reading all the posts of people who had trouble with this part of the install, I know there are a lot who wished they had never removed it. I doubt that the ECM screw police will care though!

If I recall when I did the install and realized that I lacked the ability to move and levitate objects with my mind, I was at a loss as to how I could support the nut while inserting the front ECM screw.

I drilled a 1/2" hole (I think it was 1/2") in one of the shrouds (the one that blocked my access to the nut!) and found that I could hold the nut captive and in place using a box end wrench covered in a piece of gaffers tape while I reinserted the front screw. I've also been told that museum gel/adhesive in the box end wrench will do the same. YMMV.

I don't have pictures but the cover/shroud that I drilled was approached from the rider's right side of the bike (throttle and rear brake lever side of the bike). Because I discovered this after I had installed everything and didn't want to have to uninstall anything, I drilled the plastic while it was still on the bike.

I drilled perpendicular to the side of the bike to get the right approach and height. I used a spade style wood bit because the tip sets nicely in the soft plastic and was easier to control (doesn't pull itself through the plastic and into pricey bits beneath the plastic) but any would do as long as you go slow and don't press hard.

I think I had the rear shock reservoir out of its little nest in order make access easier.

I found a plastic cap at Lowes that snaps smoothly in to the hole and the underseat plastic cover that I drilled remains all blocking, all comforting.

Sorry, , wish I had taken pictures.

Wish I'd known about it before I installed my comfort kit! With lots of patience and cursing, I was able to put the nut on the end of a finger tip and cram my hand up under the fender between the shock and frame. Eventually I captured it onto the bolt thread and tightened everything up.
