I almost couldn't get up my driveway tonight due to the snow. The rear tire on my Blast is bald, and it had no traction, I ended up hopping off and tilting the bike sideways just so the tread would bite down.

I have to go through the house to get from my garage to the front walk. Side gates are frozen into the ice puddles. Alley and side streets are rutted, packed snow & ice. First time since 1978 that we've had snow on the ground for 80 days straight. I was riding last year at this time.

Just under 8000, factory installed Dunflop from 2003 model year. I got a 200 mile ride this weekend to Rhode Island to get it replaced at Precision HD/Buell. Going to put on Pirelli's : )

The snow is our gift to you, in honour of the winter Olympics being held in Vancouver.

It started mid October with a winter blast for parts of PA ( I know because I had to cancel a trip to the PA Grand Canyon)

I havn't used the snow blower yet in 2010.

I'm 58 years old and I have only ever seen snow twice in my life and I'd be quite happy never to see some again. In Sydney we can ride all year round I just can't imagine having to leave the bikes in the garage over winter. Sorry guys.

Today is February 16. It's SUPPOSED to be cold and snowy. When I got home from work, I had to crank up the snowblower and clean the driveway before I could pull in. I'd move to someplace warm and beautiful like Australia, but the Government there doesn't want an immigrant whose most notable aspects are loving motorcycles and distrusting Authority.
Oh well...

Idaho,

Nice fishin' holes you have there. How do you know what fly to tie when there's no bugs on your windshield?

Everyone else,

I'm escaping the WI snow this Friday for a week of riding in FLA. Hopefully we'll make it to the Keys.

Cheers!

Bring your fly rod. Last time I was in the Keys, I caught a barracuda with it. More fun than trout.

Global Warming Sucks!

I'm in Anna Maria Florida and the weather sucks! Plenty of sunshine, pleanty of beaches, but the temps are in the 50s!

If I was in Michigan I would consider it riding weather, but in a so-called tropical paradise, I would expect 70 or so degrees!

This is a view from my roof last weekend. See the four little white mounds in front of the red car?

bikes in winter

My bikes (no garage).

I guarantee I'll be on the Uly this weekend though - the roads are almost clear enough, and daylight is starting to linger into the 6pm hour!
