Just picked up my comfort kit for my 07 Uly, opened the box and the right side scoop is tiny with no inner shroud, I noticed several different kits mine is M1907.3AK. My question is are the kits for the California model different? did they order the wrong one? this scoop is less then half the size of the left side, no ECM bolt in the kit either, and the parts list shows one, any help would be appreciated.

They got you the wrong kit. You should have a P/N M1907.1AK according to the Buell P&A catalog. CA and 49 state Ulys take the same kit.

You can download the catalog here if you want to show your dealer the right part number:

The comfort kits are on page 18. I think the kit you got is actually for a 2008-up export Ulysses.

Yep, concur. Looks like they saw the description - "XB12X/XT Cat Exhaust" and thought "we're in California, we have cat exhausts...get this one". But the chart shows that kit B is HDI (HDInternational), England, Japan, and Brazil for some '08 up bikes.

You need kit A off the page in the catalog. M1907.1AK, just like us 49-state'rs : )

Thanks Rat, I will print your post and take it in to Vallejo HD on Tues. The parts dude is actually a pretty nice guy and seems willing to make the call to find out what's up. Thanks again, you guys are on it!

Crowdog, we're very lucky around here to have some folks who know the system and part numbers.
