will any exhaust from the XB series bikes fit the Uly? For example the Jardine for an XB12r?

Stock pipes from most firebolt and lightning models will fit but their outlet points directly at the longer Uly kickstand.

But the race pipe has about 1/4 " clearance on my 06 XB12X.

This is true; they work just fine, if you don't mind a sooty kick stand foot.

Or you can chop the pipe and redirect the exhaust.

No big deal on the soot, but you can hear the exhaust bouncing off the stand. Minor, but enough to bother you (me anyway). I just redirected mine.
