After a GREAT visit to Santa Fe H.D. and Buell today, and a good visit to Thunderbird H.D. and Buell in Albuquerque, I feel good about Buell service and support in the Land Of Enchantment! I'd bet that Barnett H.D. in Las Cruces will service Buells as well but I didn't confirm that when in that area last week. The Farmington dealership up in the northwest corner, I'm told, will support Buell's. I live in the Houston Texas area but my roots are in N.M. and I ride through N.M. at least three times a year. My wife and I are on a nice western trip and I took the opportunity to stop in and talk to the dealers. Both dealerships have signed on to continue servicing Buells, both service managers ride Buells, and a number of their Tech's ride Buells! Santa Fe was particularly enthusiastic about Buells and it was fun buying some very cool Buell gear, which they had quite a bit of, and spending considerable time with the service folks. The service manager, Murrae Haynes, is a nice guy and real Buell enthusiast. WE ARE COVERED!!! Having said that, my black beauty has given me vibes that 'breakdowns' aren't in the cards but if one happens it will be a trip enhancement!

Sorry to take up a topic line with this but I'm feeling especially good about Buell, missing mine, and I thought I'd share this good info.

ps: The folks at the Durango Co. HD dealership are nice but ZERO Buell support! Hey, Farmington is within a hour to the south and Santa Fe is an easy ride and they have considerable expertise!

ps#2: I messed up and posted over at XB first, thinking I was here! An age thing? lol

Buellerxt, this thread would do well anywhere. No need to just post in the Uly section when all Buellers need to know about the great dealerships.

Murrae is a great Buell Enthusiast and one of the reasons I stop in Santa Fe HD when I am down that way. (He has a badass S3 among other Buells)

I even met the famous Dr Greg and a few NM Buellers at that dealership... They are one of the top dealers in my book.

There will be a Bull Rally in Aug around the Enchanted Circle.... Check with the NM thread in the Storm Fronts for details as the time gets closer.... It is always fun and if you can make it you will have a great time.

Santa Fe HD seems to be very Buell friendly. I talked to a sales rep at length about the Uly, he owns a few Buells and was very knowledgeable.

Well, fellas, lemme relate my story about SFHD. I took my '06 (the one that now RIP) there for my warranty front rotor replacement (as opposed to the ABQ dealer).

Rotor replacement went fine, but they also (1) adjusted my clutch to factory spec (engagement point WAAAYYY out there; I have small hands and almost couldn't ride), and (2) washed it afterwards with a pressure washer which shorted out my GPS power supply which was plugged into the front Accessory socket (just blew a fuse, but still...)

The tech SWORE he didn't touch the clutch (at either place), but I know better. They agreed the pressure wash was a bad idea.

Not sayin' SFHD doesn't do good work, but I had a less than optimal experience.

And, yes, Murrae is a great guy. Glad to hear SFHD is supportive as well. I am glad that the NM dealers are on board.
