The reason I ask is, I ordered a Buell Premium tank bag November 11th. The dealer says it's backordered with an ETA of January 29th. I'm lead to believe HD is going to still be in the Buell accessory business. Anyone know if this is true, or limited to certain items? I think I saw in another thread that even the tall seat was still available with the same ETA. |

Most accessories were dropped down to half price and promptly sold out and eliminated. You're only hope for finding them are dealers that still have them in stock, or ebay. I don't recall 100% if the soft luggage was included, but it would not be warranty items, so I don't see why they'd still carry it. |

I think they're going to remain available for at least a little while. We just got in 2 of them last week, so they're out there. Whether they're just using up old stock or continuing production I don't know...but they do show a release date later this month from backorder. |

"Most accessories were dropped down to half price" I wish they did that for the Outdoorsman cases!! |

I paid MSRP for all mine, bought in Nov./Dec. but oh well, the prices were fair. |

HD will more than likely aggregate parts orders and place orders on an as needed basis. |

I visited American Sport Bike in Vista, CA this past Thursday during the winter storm event of 2010 and found that Al had several of both types of Buell tank bags in stock. They also had the top case liners for the H-B Journey case. I promptly bought one of the Premium/Deluxe ones and a myriad of other things. The conversation, the best part of the visit, was priceless though and well worth the cost of admission (driving through that hellish rain/wind/snow/cats/dogs from Palm Springs to Vista via I-10, the 215 and 15). They have several in stock if you want one and your back order doesn't pan out. I bought the one in the badly crushed box so any you order from them now will arrive at your door in a perfectly formed Buell box. (Message edited by 7873jake on January 25, 2010) |

I tried to get the deluxe tank bag about 2 or 3 weeks after the buell closure news and that was no longer available. |

Ditto, I tried to order the straps last week and Chicago HD has them listed as obsolete. |

Get a Wolfman. It's a better product anyway. |

I managed to get some of the deluxe and regular tank bags in. They will be the last ones I'll get, but they're up on the website. See http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17412.html and http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17411.html I've got a splattering of other Buell P&A parts as well, but I think we've received all that we're going to. There might be a few other things that trickle in, but for the most part, it's all turned off. Al |

I should qualify that last statement "it's all turned off". If a P&A part was part of an OEM motorcycle, it isn't going away any time soon. Examples are heated grip kits, high handlebar kits, headlight grilles, handguards, wheels, bodywork, etc. I don't see parts like these going away at all. But tank bags, traction grips, custom seats, tool kits, etc., they're likely gone for good. Al |

That is correct AL. The handful of tank bags and tail bags that just came in to various dealers was an existing order Buell had with their vendor before announcement. T |
