This is the 2nd time I tried to start this thread, damn computer ate it...

A while back (month or so) someone posted some part numbers, I can't find them now.
The first was for the item in the picture below (I snagged your picture from another thread Court, Thanks!).

The second is for the wiring shield that's mounted on the left side frame above the oil cooler to protect the wires going to the handlebar controls. Sorry, I couldn't find that post either.

Any other suggestions for things to check on a 06 Uly would be appreciated.

Brad

One of the first things I'm installing is the comfort Kit, just need to find one...

That is a seat spacer block. I ordered a new '06 low seat back in '06 and it came with one. It keeps the seat pan from rubbing on the ecm plugs. Two are better than one.

In some cases it is better to mount that one on the back bolt of the ecm, because with it at the front the pan on some bikes can still touch the ecm plugs.

Sorry I don't have the PN.

You may want to look at the #77 connector under the front sprocket cover.
Its a heavy red and black wire connector, some have seen melting and charging problems.
Then there's the rear wheel bearings and front engine mount to check.

In addition to the above (specificaly the #77 plug) you might want to check the wire guard upgrade at the steering head (left side where wires come from headlight going onto frame). Also make sure all recalls done, side stand and BAS.

Check the cable guide for the clutch cable right next to the front exhaust pipe where it exits the head.
Don't use the torque spec. in the book for the oil drain plugs, it will strip the aluminum threads. Just snug these up, the o-ring will do the sealing.
