I bought 2, they have rubber square o rings already that you tighten the lid against.
Maybe a group were sold with these seals? |

It would make sense that they already have seals as there intended to hold manuals and papers on tractors and farm equipment. I havent seen these first hand but I plan on buying one soon. |

Ordered two tubes Jan 23/10 and got them today. 18 Days to Canada. Not bad.

So here is what I've come up with so far
You can see from this pic that theres no room attach the tube directly on the other side of the case. However there is space to clamp on the bottom rail of the rack
My brother is a fabricator and works with stainless steel, so I will get him to make me a couple of brackets so that the tubes will be securly clamped to the rail

The boating industry has some high quaility canopy fittings that look to be about the correct size.
you could get a welder to cobble you something up. |

If you go that fittings route, make sure the ones you get are SS.
The chrome plated ones are usually chrome over some sort of pot metal or zinc and don't hold up well to vibrations or stress. (Owned waaaay too many sailboats through my life and learned this lesson)
If I recall, I saw some recently that were made of the glass reinforced nylon material (black) that would fit the Uly environment very well. |

If any of you work up some clamp or come up with another way to mount the tubes let me know.... I'm sitting here staring them down trying to figure out a mounting solution myself. |

I think paralegal has it. We need to mount them along the bottom of the side case bracket tubing. Clamps and brackets.
For some reason I don't have as much clearance between my side cases (typical '06 H-B) and the tubing as in his photo above (design change?) but it hopefully will be enough.
If I come up with anything worthy of consideration I'll certainly post it here.

My bro was to come by Monday to have a look but I've been sick.
In the meantime I had lots of time to think
My Dad used to work for the Hockey equipment company CCM. I have an old pair of tube skates from when I was 14. There are probably tons of these in sheds and basements all over Canada.
Mine are size 10 and size 12 would make a perfect bracket.

It just looks like to me it may come in contact with the belt guard or swingarm???

Given the way the side cases fit into the insides of the racks, you may end up having to weld the anchor points onto the bottom of the rack bars/tubes. Might be able to use metal radiator hose clamps around the rack frame and still get the boxes to squeeze in. I goofed around with these for some time before bolting them to the backs of the Pelicans I had on at the time. Sold them with the cases. Now in search of a better option for additional fuel capacity. |

I gave all the measurments to my bro however the clearance for the (outdoorsman) bags is so tight he wants to come out this weekend to measure it himself.
We do need to offset the right tube bracket to clear the drive belt |

Aha! That explains the different appearance; I have the "standard" H-B cases. I think the same mounting approach will work, although there is even less clearance with those.
