I have a 64 VW convertible... I'd like to possibly trade my German steel for some American Muscle...

Runs strong was my daily driver for years restored it could be worth 20K+ I bought it for 5K 7 years ago..

Car has been sitting and needs some minor sorting, tires etc...

Its a original pensacola beach car.. Rust plenty.. Paint 10 feet, lots of extras

Fun Car...

Looking for a Uly with a clean title straight frame... High miles fine?

She doesn't look that good anymore.. Still turns heads...

The front axle is probably toasted with rust. My sister had one of those bugs. Good luck with your search.

My uncle had one of those.
Starting to rain?
That roof fought him with great honor.
I don't think that he managed to latch both sides. The vinyl must have been shrinky : )

Long long time ago!
He rebuilt that engine over the winter on his kitchen table!

back in the late 70's I bet I failed a hundred of these for state inspection with the rotted front axle. I think most of them went to the junk yard at that point.

Hey Ted, go to Hemmings and sell it there. I sold an old 1943 Wilies Jeep with them. I had the ad up on-line for about 10 days and some guy from Pittsburg came and bought it. I had my Jeep for 10 years and it was just sitting on blocks in my garage so I figured I was done with it. K

Babired,
I had a 1952 M38 Willys jeep I bought for 1200 bucks right out of highschool back in 1974/75. It was fun but for some reason just sucked gas. Terrible brakes. Engine ran and sounded like a sewing machine though. Sold it for a grand after having for probably 12 years. Don't miss it a bit.

Hey Glider Mine was an MB too It was my Father's I got it when he died. We used to drink St Paulie Girls and go 4-wheeling with it near his house. I know dangerous combination but the memories are fun: ) The brakes sucked too on the Jeep. Gas mileage I have know idea we had it for off road fun. The jeep would climb over huge trees on the ground. Motor was original. My Dad repaired the floorboards everything else was intact.
