I recently purchased a 2009 Blue Uly at Bumpus in Murfreesboro. The whole crew there was great. I've been stuck on Buell since a friend let me ride his orange M2 Cyclone a few years ago. It felt like riding some kind of great beast. I've been lurking here ever since - I feel like I already know some of y'all. Then when Buell introduced the Ulysses I knew I would own one someday. It's been too cold here in Knoxville to ride much but nothing puts the 'grin' on my face faster than a 'quicky' after work when it's warm enough -looking forward to spring. I'll be watching for other 'grins' when I'm out and about. What a great machine. The kids love it too. Hope to see some of y'all out there.

It is amazing how 8 hours of dealing with workday frustrations can be flushed away with an hour or two on a Uly.

I have a 2010 Uly waiting for me when I get back to the states in the spring. Good timing, huh? Can't wait!

Great story and welcome. It must be nice having occasional good weather and living close to those great routes. I had a chance ride the dragon last summer. I had to rent a sporty at Smokey Mountain Harley, but it was still fun!

I recently had the great fortune to work as a consultant at Buell, and the level of competence and dedication among people working there convinced me I would eventually own one. The tall Uly was a little challenging for my inseam, but the XT is just right. I tested one last summer and I knew then what you mean by permagrin. I was lucky to be able to snag one of the new XTs after the shutdown. Looking forward to riding it when the Wisconsin ice age recedes.

Welcome to the crew Tenn10. Spring is right around the corner so we'll be sure and hook up for some Uly goodness. Your blue Uly will offset ETennuly's and my orange Uly's nicely.

Ahhh madness...sweet, sweet madness.

Having this great bike in the garage just waiting for a good day to ride in the Tennessee twisties is making for some incredible anticipation.

The time isn't completely wasted though. I installed the comfort kit. That was fun! The fan does run less with this modification. I have not had the ECM re-flashed. I haven't decided whether to do this or not. Also installed the Buell tall windscreen. Haven't had a chance to really try it at speed yet. I found a damaged grommet when I removed the original screen. Replacing that little bugger was a challenge. I believe a Stebel horn may be a nice addition.
I think a tall seat might be nice as well if they can still be had - have purchased other accessories such as the triple tail pad, triple tail backpack (nice item), bike cover, all manuals...the list just keeps growing.
You can see where this idle time is leading - going broke buying accessories.
I'm having a Great time already!
See y'all around...whooooo!
