Anybody got a tall seat they'd like to trade for an 07' stock Barricade Orange seat. Seat is in perfect condition. Or if you'd just like to sell it outright that'd be great also. Doesn't have to be orange on the back either. My son would rather his bike have the tall seat. Thanks. | ||

I'm looking for one as well. I ordered one from my local dealer, who says the system indicates they are still available. But I hear otherwise on this forum. So in case that deal falls through, and you have a tall seat available, let me know. | ||

I tried to order a tall seat from Chicago H-D the other day. They cancelled the order the next day saying that the "item is no longer available". Where are you guys ordering new seats from? | ||

The black seat is gone, 2 weeks ago the orange seat was still available. The black seat had the seams going side to side. The orange seat has the seams going front to rear like the original seat. Some people complained about The seams rubbing the inside of their legs. I have not checked on the standard 07 and up seats in either color. but when they are gone, that's it. | ||

Thanks, Towpro. When you say the orange seat was still available, were you talking to your local dealer or somewhere online? Does the standard 07 and up seat have a different part number? | ||

Borick, None of the people I deal with stock anything, it's all ordered direct from HD so that was where my info came from. For the part numbers, you can look through buell.com | ||

I tried mounting the tall seat on my '09, and it won't fit. The stock one slides right on and snaps in place. The tall seat doesn't seem to want to slide all the way on, or latch at all. It's going back to the dealer, hopefully for a replacement that works. | ||

It fits, the seat might be stiff and not flexing. Also try to loosen the 4 bolts holding the subframe onto the frame, then pushing the tail section up then re-tighten it. | ||

Sorry to jump in at the last second here but is the stock seat from an 08X the "tall" seat or is there a low, a tall, and something stock in between. I only ask because the stock orange seat from my 08 is collecting dust in the garage. | ||

Everybody, I traded my son's seat for a tall seat from Crempel. Crempel wanted an extra seat to carve up and now he has it. Already have the tall seat he sent on my son's bike. My boy didn't like the way those shorter seats smashed his goods. That is what is great about the tall seat, it leaves the boys alone. Trading seats cost much less than buying one. Shipping was $22 and change to send from Omaha to Albaturkey, New Mexico. But as luck has it, we got about 10" of the white crap in that latest storm and it is only about 10 degrees out. Probably socked in for the winter the way it looks. | ||

Ruggles- there are 3 factory seats available for Ulys. The 06 standard ("tall") seat, the 06 "low" seat, and the 07-up standard seat which is approximately the same height as the low seat. | ||

Electra...how did you send that seat? I got hit for $52 from UPS ground for a Corbin to Cincinnati from Seattle area. The box was a Buell seat box so pretty fitting! | ||

Most people think that UPS is the cheaper way to go but both Electraglider and I sent ours to each other FedEx ground. 2 days and $22. I still haven't opened my box to see if Electraglider sent me anything. | ||

I have a tall and a low if anyone is interested. Both in excellent condition. Also have a good low screen as well. |
