I recently installed my Outdoorsman brackets and luggage. The bike is hideous with the bags removed and the frames dangling in the air. I am tempted to modify the frame so they can be removed with hitch pins or something similar. Has anyone does something similar? My first impression is to use stud for the under seat bolts and a male-female slip fit with an indexing hole behind the footpeg mount. Better ideas????? | ||

I like the hitch pin idea.. but security on the road may be a issue as well as the pain in the butt of taking it off every night etc.... and I am normally such a positive glass half full person... huh... I will side with E.glide.... thou I used to be on your side RWC.... give it some time maybe.... I am going your route thou... just bought the brackets and hardware ... now saving for bags... come on Santa... Cheers-pete | ||

H-B (the makers of the Outdoorsman luggate) has a quick-release system called Lock-It, used on the XB*S luggage. I'm curious if the hardware could be bought seperately and used. Anyone know? -Nadz | ||

Thats exactly what I was looking for, I just need to find a distributor that sells the bolt and plates by dimensions. |
