My low beam is out. Does anybody know what the replacement type is at a hardware store and how difficult it is to swap a new one in? Pics would be great. |

55 watt H7. Can be bought most anywhere, even Walmart. Pop the grill off the front lights. Remove the fairing cover making sure not to lose the plastic washers. Remove the 3 headlight adjusting 1/4-20 screws. One on each side and the other is under the fender and it is stainless steel. Pull the headlight assembly out so you can pull the rubber off the back of the low beam side light. Remove the bulb. Easy as pie. Put it all back together and of course you'll have to adjust the aim according to the manual and that involves those 3 adjusting screws. I've replaced the low beam and it was very easy to do, just takes a bit of time. Have fun. |

You can replace the bulb without removing any screws. usee a curved hemostat to remove the spring clip behind the housing, remove bulb, unplug from harness. My lowbeam went out pretty early on too. like 8000 miles. $11 from walmart soved it. I guess they had a bad batch or something. |

I simply unscrew the three torx bolts (one on each side, one on the bottom) then pull the whole headlight assy. down and out. The plugs just pop out the back. No need to remove the windscreen or fight with pliers. |
