I picked up a pair of 3" red LED tail/brake lights from American Sport Bike a couple of days ago. I finally mounted them yesterday on my Outdoorsman top box. I don't cook, well, I don't cook food that real people like to eat. After enough years, my wife just gave up and kicks me out of the kitchen on holidays. Darn.

It's not really done yet, just enough to see how they look. I've still got to pick up a couple of rubber grommets - one for the top box and one for the bike's metal tail section. I also want to get a plug and socket of some kind to let me easily unhook the 3-wire connection when I take my top box off (not often, but it does happen from time to time. At the same time, I don't want the connector to come apart by itself. Maybe something like a trailer socket/plug kit.

I'll probably just Velcro or zip-tie the wiring and connector from the bike to the luggage rack, and velcro the wiring from the top box to the rack.

I'll probably post pix of the setup when I've got it finalized. In the meantime, I do have pix of how the lights look at night.

Go to your local hardware store and check out the various connections. While you are there, pick up some shrink tube and a small tube of silicone sealer.

Remember to use the 'female' plug for the positive that is coming from the power source. That way, when you unplug, you cannot accidentally short out and pop a fuse.
