Try surfing around in here!

http://www.advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f= 5

This is the Adventure riders forum, the "beasts" tab. It's for all adv. bikes with two cylinders except BMW and Ktm, Anyway, what you need is in there somewhere.

The adv link allowed me to view 31 pages of mostly varaderos. I was wanting info about the current Africa Twin. Does the bike exist? Is it available in the US? What is the current engine size? Specs? Available accessories and stuff like that.

No longer made. Honda, head up ass as usual, replaced it with the Varadero. The Africa Twin is based on the TransAlp but with a bigger motor, 750cc. The best adventure bike of those days, mid 80's to late 90's if my memory is working. A bit soft on power compared to the 1100GS and 900 Tigers, 900 Elefant. But very refined, to the point of boring, and very reliable. There are still some web sites in Euroland if you care to search. An occasional Africa Queen tuns up in the US, still holding value but the KTM Adventure is more of an updated performance bike that the Twin owners hoped Honda would have introduced instead of the turd Varadero.

The XLV750R was the bike to have , it would positively chew up the dirt, and eat sport bikes of the day for fun. poor fat ninjas never knew what hit them. I wish I had one again.
