check your plug wires and make sure their seated tightly round the plug tops!!! a short in your plug wires would cause that , also if u were low on fuel , when the bike switched from primary to aux fuell it will do that , mine does it

exhaust gate actuator malfunction is another of many reasons the engine light can come on.

Valve closes and opens at different times; adding back pressure at low and high rpm.

Your dealer can hook up the digital tech and check for historic codes that will point to the root cause.

My Uly with almost 39,000 miles will do that occasionally, usually at 75-80 mph like you said. Wait until it does it as you pull away from a stoplight and start making a turn -- then it gets interesting !

There won't be any trouble codes for it, either, so good luck there.

Let me know if you find something that definitely stops it. It's annoying, but as long as it restarts itself, I'm not going to go crazy looking.

loves_ we are all kind of laughing w/and at you here... several of us have had this problem and have done just about everything we can think to fix it... and have several times only to have it resurface. i'm thinking wires. look really closely at all of your wire everywhere on your bike. esp et.o2 sensor wires.

If any of you are any where near Colorado I'd love to get your bike into our service to diagnose this. We've heard it all before; dealer X had it in the shop for 3 weeks and changed a, b and c and it still does it, it must be a ghost, the bike must have been built on a Friday, etc.

Not that some diagnosis weren't long in the tooth but we have not had a problem unsolvable.

High Cntry Buell is conveniently located at Hwy-52 (exit 235) on the major north-south route of I-25.

Better be sure we are open though, we are open in service 7 days a week, all year, sans some holidays.

Jammin' - Be on 4 corners trip next spring - nice to know of a competent Buell dealer in Rocky region...just in case. If fact my PR2s will probably need replacing by then - may switch back to Distanzias for the final leg home. Would of course call ahead. j
