although i have left the saddlebags on the ultra open on occasion and also the buell softbags unzipped on the cyclone more times than not, i haven't left the uly bags open yet. and right now, i don't think that will ever happen cause i have to take the bags off to get fit it in the garage.

Sidecases? No, but I have ridden wheelies with the top case open. I figured it out when I saw a spare jacket flapping in the wind.

I went 50 miles with my trunk unlocked. It wasn't till later I found out my keys were in the lock when I left home. They weren't in the lock when I figured it out tho.

Believe it or not I found them! On a rough road about 1 mile before I hit the freeway. If they stayed in till the freeway they'd've been gone forever.

It can with Journeys if the latch explodes while you're just happily riding down the road! I use web straps to secure the lids just in case.

Once some guy was trying to flag me down on the freeway for about 2 miles. At 1 A.M. needless to say I wasn't pulling over but when he turned on his interior light and pointed to my side case I finally got it. Almost lost a leather jacket.

Not cases, but I went 12 miles with my wallet sitting on top of my strapped down backpack. There was nothing holding it on and aerodynamically I can't figure out why it never flew off.

Especially since it's you, that would make a great video for Youtube!
