This is a very clever thumb set and brake or thumb deactivated cruise controller. I've never trusted the other types I've seen but this one lets go when you grab the brake lever which seems very safe. Watch the you-tube video. Wish I'd thought of that.

From the Xboard: model 6CP01 on a Bolt

This method won't work with factory heated handgrips because of the cable exit, so I'm planning to "downgrade" to Torque grips and grip heaters from Al at American Sport Bike. Anyone know how to get the clutch-side factory heated grips off (intact)?

Yes, just take the screw off and then remove.
