I'm a new uly owner, but not new to motorcycles. Will the bike fit safely on a pitbull stand? The angle of the swingarm is making me a bit nervous! On a side note, I'm lovin this bike!  at home with the rest of the kids  | ||

I use the Pitbull stand made for the '08 1125 and it works fine. | ||

There is a pitbull that has 3 pads and will hold the swingarm. American Sport Bike sells it. | ||

My wife gave me Pit Bull Stands (F&R) for Christmas last year. The person she spoke to at Pit Bull Strongly recommended the 1125 stand for a Uly. It works well. Just make sure you remove the axle pinch bolt before you put the bike up on the stand if you're planning on removing the rear axle. | ||

16131 - Pit Bull Work Stand, Rear, Buell 1125 Series &Uly Pit Bull Work Stands are the best in the biz, and this one specifically designed for the 1125R is no exception. The normal stands don't work well on the steeply sloped 1125R swingarm. This stand has two bumpers under each side of the swingarm for lifting the bike, and a third bumper to prevent it from sliding up the swingarm. Those same features also make it work VERY well on the XB12X Ulysses. Note: the fixed rear handle is shown, these are now only made with the removeable rear handle, which is a nice feature for transportability. Note: These are quite large when boxed for shipment, which drives the shipping price up. Depending on location, shipping costs are usually in the 40-45 dollar range. I had the exact same question as I had an old rear stand with cups. The angle of that swingarm makes it seem like it would be precarious, but if you look under the swingarm you'll see raised strips which the cups can rest against. Worked fine for me. | ||

the paperwork that came with mine said it was designed for a specific ducati model.. a sport classic maybe? dunno, never heard of that model and i've already thrown the paperwork away. it's the design that puts two pegs under the swingarm and a third one behind - works great! | ||

Hughlysses - will that setup work with an aftermarket muffler? Sperz1- I think it can be used with the Drummer or Special Ops (both based on the stock muffler) but not with others. | ||

I built a muffler cradle and use it with a standard hydraulic floor jack. I then run a tie-down from each handlebar up to my garage door track for added stability. Can lift entire bike, or either wheel depending on placement of cradle. Very flexible. --Doc | ||

I hang the bike from the garage rafters with a come along. Have used this method with many different bikes.  | ||

Been using the Trex stands for a couple years. Work great and inexpensive. Can get the front and rear for less than $150. I run a steel rod thru the rear axle now and use the included spool mount lifting points for the rear stand. Real solid. IF you had rear axle spools it would be even easier.
