Who's got one? How long have you had it? Do you like it? Is the mounting stable?

I've got one that I use just for winter. Works great. In fact, if it wasn't so goofy looking, I'd use it year round!

I was going to get one and opted for the Palmer bracket instead which lets some air in under it. Then I could screw with different shields.

I have the Cal Sci and really like it. As already said it is a little funky looking, but really does a good job of breaking the wind, especially in the winter.

When I bought my XT about 3 weeks ago, it was already outfitted with a Cal Sci screen. I like the coverage, but the buffeting for me is horrendous (I'm 5' 7"). It has been replaced with a short standard Uly screen until I can 1) Get the broken bolt out of the instrument housing, and 2) figure out a plan of attack for the buffeting. Morning temps are in the low 40's right now -- I really miss the coverage, but I don't miss the noise!

I'm 6'4" and with the stock XT shield it's awful noisy. Doing the extended hand in front method, it seems like the height of the tall Cal Sci would be about right. I had questions about the durability of the mounting set up.

Starting my third winter with the Cal Sci. Mounting works well, but I recommend a bit of lightweight loctite on the screws. Still looks and works perfectly- no stress cracks or threading issues

Traded in a Cee Bailey for a Cal Sci and have never looked back. Very stable, great wind deflection, no buffeting, quiet. Highly recommend the Cal Sci.

at 5'8", couldn't stand the stock xt or x windscreen. went without until i got the palmer bracket's and he also sent me a taller prototype screen to go along with it and i love it. couldn't be happier.
