Here on the way near Wabasha,MN.Home of Grumpy Old Men.
Cold and snow.

I got there with my group a little after 10 so I got to park by Hal's front door.

On the way to Baraboo on Monday night, cool and rainy.
Crossing the ferry at Merrimac,WS.

Right after crossing the ferry we came around a corner and there was a deer standing on the left side of the road,S3ters was in front of me on his HD FL and the deer walked right in front of him and Bamm!-the deer went flipping and rolling into the ditch and S3ters didn't even crash. It was getting dark so we could'nt even see were the deer hit the bike.Time to get a hotel and have a couple beers.
The next morning we looked at the bike and the deer hit the crash bar on the right side and bent it back.
The rest of the ride home on tuesday was great with sunny and cool weather.Through Wildcat Mountain and the cut.

I give you guys all kinds of credit for riding in that crappy weather. I'm sure it was worth it.

Yow...that's a harrowing story. Glad the FL rider didn't go down.

Are there any other threads about the ride to Troy?

I saw the whole thing happen and I'm yelling in my helmet-look out-look out-stop-stop!
I guess a 150 pd deer is no match for a 800 pd HD.
