What with the news how many folks are considering selling their Uly's? Before this meltdown I was thinking of selling my Uly and getting either a 2010 Uly or a Wee Strom. Rode my wifes Wee for 1500 miles in four or five days, through Vermont and New York from Maryland. Very, very good bike only needs work on suspension..Seems to be a bullet proof bike also and at my 220 lbs had more than enought power for me.I was considering it because of being left stranded by my Uly one time due to VR and then last trip a sever leak left front fork seal made me take wifes bike. I am now thinking of just getting the comfort kit, rear wheel and spare parts including; front isolator, VR, and newest belt and keeping the Uly for as long as it lasts. I have my wifes Wee Strom when Uly breaks down again. |

Keep it. Great Bike. It's all about the ride anyway. |

Judging by recent resale values, I think you should keep it. The bike is certainly worth more than what you'd get for it now. Resale may go up a good bit in a couple of years. At least hold out a while if you plan to sell. I am not a Buellaholic by any means. The used '06 Uly I picked up recently was the first Buell I've ever owned. But I like it a lot, and it is unique enough that I can't really ever see selling it. Decided that even before HD closed the doors on the brand. I'll have other bikes, but they will always be parked next to the Uly. |

NOT ME! I'm riding mine for the next 10 years or so by then I'll have close to 100,000 miles on it and seen many of the United States! |

Sell the Uly? NFW. It is three and a half years old, only has 43,000 miles on it. It has provided more memories and fun than all of the other road bikes I have owned, combined. It is so easy to refurbish to keep it feeling new, there is no reason to sell it. I'm thinking that by what ever means, it will have little or no value when I am done with it.....unless it becomes one of those high mileage over experienced bikes that end up in a museum somewhere. Only the right deal at the right time will make me buy another bike.....but the Uly stays until it is depleted! |

Sell? Only if it is all that stands between me and a cardboard box. If anything recent events make me want to hang onto the bike even more. |

I suspect when the ULY is sold off of the dealer floors and there are no more, it will become a highly sought after bike. |

Why sell it now and give someone else a great deal? . |

Since installing the comfort kit and getting the reflash mine is running better than ever. I'll be keeping it until the wheels fall off. |

Sell it? No way! May buy a spare one, for the discounted prices they are asking now it's the best deal in motorcycle industry. |

I can't ever see selling it. When I've used it up I'll rebuild it. When i die, I'll will it to the Smithsonian. Had many bikes (still have a KLR & ST1300)but nothing is as much fun, or 'fits' like the Uly. |

I just got my 06 Uly with 44,000 miles. I'll ride it until it breaks and parts are no longer available or I can't make parts for it. |

Just before everything turned to shit, I had decided to buy a Moto Guzzi Norge. My original plan was to sell the XT in the spring. However, with H-D proving they have their heads planted firmly up their collective asses, I've decided to keep the XT. I don't know if another good handling American motorcycle will ever be available. |

AMEN to all of that. picking up buell #4 on friday and trying to figure out how to get just one more without throwing me over the edge of insanity knowing that the chances of being able to buy another new one are slim to know chance in h e double hockey sticks. |

Since the dealers are throwing them out, I'll hold a while - until the resale value starts up - then she's gone. New Victory or BMW GS - or both! |

No plans to sell the Uly. I have too much fun riding it and think it's too perfect for me. |

My 07 is a keeper. I was planning on getting new one in a few years, but now that probably won't happen. I suspect that this board is not a representative cross-section of all Buell owners though. If I had to bet, I'd bet that more of us here will keep our Buells than the average Buell owner. |

Ironically, I was going to trade-in my '07 Uly on a new '09 CR about three weeks ago, but couldn't get the figures to line up like I wanted, so I walked away. With the recent deal I got on the CR, I didn't have to sell the Uly, and now don't plan on it. In fact, after riding the CR 300 miles on Saturday, I'm really glad I didn't! It's not the most comfortable bike in the world for riding 300 miles... and to think I use to 800 miles on the Uly without blinking. Wayne |

"nothing out there I want that could take its place"...+1!!! For now, the XT's "THE" bike for all occasions! Absolutely right about the permagrin!!! |

I spent months looking for a bike I would be comfortable on (I'm 6'5") I didn't want a "cruiser" and wanted something sportier. The 1125's are great bikes as well as the XT street bikes, but there was no better fit for me than my Uly. It's comfortable, has enough power and I have enough room in the cases/bike to go to the grocery, camping or what ever. I'm in it on mine for the duration |

My Uly's mine, not HD's. Their unfortunate (and misguided) decision has hurt my resale value, so I plan to get 'em back by refusing to resell. |

Mine is in a hundred pieces in my garage. I might put it back together eventually, and put it on a rotating display. There is no point in riding it, as it does nothing good. It lacks power, isn't comfortable, heavy, and has a tendency to not stop behind cars. Long live my 1125's! |
