Excuse me if I'm being a bit Pollyannish here but...the initial shock is now past and we generally understand Buell (at least in their current form) will soon be OOB. However...I'm willing to bet we haven't seen the last of this iconic machine. (for one - I'm not divesting in my 08'X - so at least one 'collectors' model will still be on the road) Somehow, somewhere it will take on a new form / Brand, and all the attributes of the Buell / Uly will be utilized to live on, reincarnated as something else. It was a great ride while it lasted. I'm not mad at HD, & though I'm in their target demographic, (60+) neither do I lust after what they currently produce. They made a business decision, that only time will tell if it was the right one. I doubt that it was. We all got the bikes we love (for the most part) because Eric & the elves got capitalized sufficiently to make 'em. For that I'm greatly appreciative to the Buell team for all the adventures I will continue to enjoy. So on the 26th - I'm taking the day off, rain or shine, loading up my spare belt / bearings & ride my Uly & perhaps meet up with like minded folks in Western Wa. We will wave to all the Buellers in E Troy (with all our fingers!) as a sign of solidarity on a solemn day. Johnboy - don't forget those snowblower gloves. j |

+1 Jphish. I am in their target demographic and I traded my Road King for a Uly. At 64, I'm not quite ready for an Electraglide trike yet. A Ural with a side-car, maybe some day. On the 26th, I will bury my fingerless gloves left over from my Sportster-Low Rider-Road King days. I'm keeping the chaps cuz they're kevlar with armor and the do-rags stay too. They work well to scare women and children and I also use them for work.
