Don't know - it crashed once already this morning. Lose Buell & BWB all at once?? Too grief stricken to contemplate. However all is not lost - sort of a phoenix thing - out of the ashes / transformation comes something else. | ||

I think this site might be very important in the future but that is all up to the sponsors I'm sure. Once the money leaves, so does the site and the owners are most likely not going to maintain it for free. We live in interesting times. | ||

If that turns out to be the case than there will still be ADV Rider since that site is not required to make money and is one of the owners passions. Hope this site finds a way to live on though. | ||

Badweb won't get shut down, there are lots of ways to pay the rent. It will only die if people loose interest and let it fade away. No doubt that will happen someday, but I don't think that will happen any time soon. | ||

What Rwven said...plus there are a TON of us that HAVE to ride these babies because we can't sell em now. They are too fun and no resale. Parts will still flow and that is what supports BadWeb. | ||

Been thinking...how there are products out there no longer in production...specialty bikes and cars...their value goes up. I would not react in fear...grab some new bikes at super discount (I have an 09 Uly) and I just bet if Buell does not restart (Eric might be tired) our bikes will have an incredible lifespan and someone will always support them. Our bikes are incredible. That alone will keep them alive. | ||

Before you guys get all in a dither about what your bike is worth, chances are you had no intention of parting with your Buell anytime soon anyways. Unless you were planning on selling it this week to pay for Suzie's Bimplants. Other than that, just remember you have a bike that will probably ride an easy 100,000 miles. If you get that many miles on a bike then if it isn't worth a thin dime then who cares, it provided years of joy and that's worth a ton. | ||

I'm on my 2nd Buell and I'm going to ride them till I can't find one anymore! At 6'5" it's hard to find a sport bike that is comfortable and Buell has been able to achieve that. I bought my XB12XT back in March and my partner bought his XB12X last month and they are the most amazing bikes we have ever ridden. So as long as we can, we will be riding Buell | ||

Sell Hell - I bought mine to ride. HD has to keep parts flowing for 10 more years. Who knows what will become of all this. It looks bleak now (particularly for those good folks in E Troy) but eventually it will sort out. I only got about 20K on the Uly - 80K more to go...then i'll rebuild it. | ||

Might go look at a CR tomorrow. A great bike at a great deal. In ten years I'll either wear it out or have a collectors item. Either way it's still got fun written all over it!  I've been reading "Court in session" and he's going to give some insight later tonight. He's really busy today with a project start up. He seems to see a silver lining, more to come I'm sure. | ||

When I heard the news, my stomach turned, and I felt like I lost a close friend. Electra is right. Ride the bikes. If we keep an interest, Buell will stay alive for a long time. The same thing goes for this website. Eric is a brilliant man, although he looks very tired, and upset in the video on the website, he has overcome many obstacles to get where he is, and many people have seen this. Hopefully some one will back him. It is too early to tell what will happen. Ride `um if ya got`em folks! | ||

I just Bought a my daughter a Saturn,we all no whats going on there.  It is a product I like,The warranty is good,parts are going to be available for some time,and I got a really great deal. I currently own 3 Buells(2 really,one is the wife's)I have no intentions of selling or trading. My bike is still worth to me the same as it was on monday. WTF? What happened to Buell? Were sales that bad? This truly is a bummer. It's Bad enough for us. It got to really suck if you have just put the last 26 years of your life into it. Did HD just pull the plug on Eric? |
