The PO did the dual headlight on high beam mod and I don't know if this is just a weird coincidence or not. The first time I switched on my heated grips this week, I lost the low beam lamp?!? I am currently searching for a previous thread to see if this has been discussed already, but if anyone has had similar??? Did it blow a fuse? Are heaters and hi-beam with dual lamps a no-no??? in other words should i leave the lamp on low when i have grips heaters on? Should I check to see if the mod was done incorrectly? Or just replace the bulb because it burned out at 10k miles like normal? Thanks for any info. |

It's a blown fuse. When you do the headlight mod, the wire that originally was intended for the european running light is wired to the accessory fuse. I would check the heated grips for a short since mine is the same way and works fine with the brights and grips on. Or your headlight burned out! |

Correct answer: B. Bulb out. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't headed for an expensive winter season of riding with a know wiring issue. Dang these bright bulbs are $$$$ $54 for two sylvania ultra whites, at 5100K temp, but sure is bright. Thanks for the input Tootal, as mentioned I didn't do the MOD so wanted to make sure no foul up. |

Which Mod ? The pin swap in connector or soldering the 'bridge' in the headlite switch ? Inquiring minds... |
